UWC Opens Satellite Center at Monsignor Pace High School

Miami Gardens- This fall, two UWC tutors, Denise Pichardo and Leo Brown, took their writing expertise to Monsignor Pace HS to assist high school students with their writing and to prepare them for the level of writing that can be expected in college.

Brown and Pichardo work closely with Ms. Kathy Palacio, a English composition instructor at MEPHS, in both classroom and after-school settings.

Pichardo shared that she learned from the experience. “I had to learn how to divide my time to get to each group of students. Since there are students with different writing levels, some need more help than others, but you also get to know them and their personalities.”
